Festa del Lavoro

Michi, Michi and me meet at midnight. We want to ride to Lake Garda in one day. 400 km with 3.000 m climbing. Chamois creme recommended.

First stop on first famous climb Kesselberg. Darkness. No cars. Only a fat badger.

Near sunrise we go down to Austria, valley of river Inn.

Gas-station-breakfast-stop at 6:00 in Innsbruck.

Leaving Innsbruck. City with great background. We will come back.

Climbing up to Brennerpaß on old Römerstraße.

Top of Brennerpaß, trespassing italian border. Rainy, windy.

Valley of river Eisack.

Reaching Bozen. Pizza for the riders, battery charging for the Garmins.

From Tyrol to Trento.

Here we go. Transalp quick version realized.

Spring Classics #7 (last edition, promised)

I love this season, colours of beautiful contrasts, shades of earth-colours and white and black, painters of the dutch baroque used them, did you know? … boring?

Ok, more action? Here the trail along the Isar slipped into the torrential river and swept away a dozen cyclists. Maybe.

Some adult content? Here we go – beavers! I love those nerve-wracking natural spectacles …

Serendipity

Rule #1 for every blog: find a cool headline for each article. So today it’s „Serendipity“.
„Serendipity“ is not only a cool headline, serendipity in fact sums up what cyclocross is about. You will find roads and landscapes, people and animals you haven’t looked for. That’s serendipity.
