Serendipity

Rule #1 for every blog: find a cool headline for each article. So today it’s „Serendipity“.
„Serendipity“ is not only a cool headline, serendipity in fact sums up what cyclocross is about. You will find roads and landscapes, people and animals you haven’t looked for. That’s serendipity.

Ingo

No, that’s not Ingo. That’s Michi. Ingo comes later.

Some degrees below zero and fresh powder over old icy snow makes it again … technical …

… but we love it technical. Later we meet an old lady. She says „A bike would work better“. We are confused and think about quitting this sport or whatever we are doing.

And then we meet Ingo. Yes, Ingo. We think Ingo is an inappropriate name for a horse. But Ingo makes the best of it.

„Hist! Believe me, buddy, a bike would work better.“

Sweet Sixteen

After yesterdays 16 years old Yamazaki i feel a strong desire to do some mileage on the roadie.
Yamazaki is a japanese Whisky you dirty minded …

The color of the delicious provisions comes from the oak cask it was stored in the last years … kidding, it’s a glucose drink, mixed today.

Coole Swan. Ok, some education here: Coole Swan is a irish cream liqueur with whisky. But Coole Swan is not named after cold swans but after the village Coole where W.B.Yeats wrote his poem „The Wild Swans at Coole“. You uneducated fools.

Festive 500 Day 8: Finally

Getting up before wife and cat to manage some sylvester-party-issues. In the shadow below zero, in the sun above zero. Great. Appointment with brave bike buddy Michi to clock the last kilometers together to fill up his personal festive statistic, but sadly he has to cancel – home tasks … Ok, so out alone for a final lap in the woods. Dresscode: the remaining clean stuff.

As snow and ice was missing on the roads and trails this year we had a lot of great rides. Next week in the office will be odd.

Monster marshmellows stinking in the sun, rub on the pic to smell it.

Seven days of riding resulted in 615 kilometers distance and 4485 meters elevation.

A wise Belgian once said, the most difficult thing with bike riding is to put the socks on. Thats true. It was a wonderful week.
