First post-surgery ride. Smell of mid-summer forest in the nose. Taste of yesterdays bourbon in the mouth. Nature.

Missed me?

Last picture before washing machine starts the 2-hour-program. Coming home to wife, cat and friends is sometimes nicer part of the trip.

We don’t like cyclocross. The term cyclocross, as the german term is much better: Querfeldein. Means directly over a field. Thats what we do.

Looking for the roads less ridden I find even roads less paved. That should slow down the litte singlespeed roadie, but please – look at the average speed! Note to self: donate the fucking Garmin to the children in the neighbourhood.

It’s time to rise a headline for the Passo di Seftolarno. He is part of almost every ride in the south of Munich, he is not a damn Strava segment, he is an old friend, never an enemy. But why no pics of him? Cause he is a hidden col, whose few switchbacks can hardly be seen between the trees, only masters of photography will make it. Note to self: take pictures next time.

No bro, thats no golf court, and yes, we know where we are. Dumb boyz.

Hottest hours of the day see two Campy-blokes fighting with dust, mosquitos, punctures and bidons warm like piss. Simply another wonderful ride.

Pleasurable after-work-before-storm-ride with Ulf. That’s the plan. Finally we get wet. But we farmers are happy when it rains.

Michi has a track on his Garmin for a tour, but his Garmin fades away (digital coma). So we ride the random roads, even roads never ridden before. By us. With singlespeed. Harhar. Note to self: singlespeed rules.

Michi and me make a giro dopo lavoro. I ride the singlespeed. He is jealous. So he rides the poor mans singlespeed: no touching of the shifters all the tour …
